Hi guys.
Sorry to post this in here. Maybe it should be somewhere else.
A friend of mine has a project car for racing purposes only. He put a SR20DET GTi-R engine on his old b13 sentra. Anyway, the car had been doing good until last upgrade.
My friend bought $800 HKS camshafts and swap them. But didn't know you have to re-calibrate the whole thing. So, he turned the car on and got a horrible "typewriter machine" noise. After figured out what happened, he removed the head and found a couple broken valve shims. Because the little hammer over the valves was too wide apart from the camshafts (what explained the sound)
Anyway, I live in Costa Rica, Central America. This engines are everything in here but common. So I am trying to help my friend locating the shim valve kit for his 54C00 GTi-R engine. No success so far, so maybe someone of you guys could recomend an internet site to buy it. I believe original stock car with this engine should be a Nissan Sunny/Pulsar GTi-R maybe from 1990 to 1995.
Any suggestion?
I really appreciate your help on this matter.
