Here is mine contribution to this AF project.

Since all of you probably saw that masterpiece from Mr. Prini I can only say that you can not expect me to match that :grinyes: but I will try to get close.
First of all I would like to thank Mr. Prini for his detail building progress because it has and will help me a lot in the process.

Let's start, I will not bother with review because Robi did that job just fine.

Body cleaned from flash, found one bubble on side skirt, drilled it and filled with piece of sprue, then puttied with Squadron green putty (great stuff).

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P1259183.jpg

Wheels are perfect just as they are so not much work here, some dremel and fine iron brush and they are done, I will paint them with alclad later. Tyres are sanded on 320 grit paper

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2029386.jpg

Head lights housings drilled and will be finished with some clear lens

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P1259182.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2059397.jpg

Central console had some broken switches so I removed them all, drilled the holes and put some SRC washers as bases, this all will be covered with CF later on. washers are just for shape.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2029384.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2029389.jpg

I soldiered roll cage and I am just in the middle of putting reinforcements but I discovered that I soldiered them in wrong position so I have to redo now.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2059394.jpg

Anyhow, this kit is great, but instructions are like you don't have them, so before you start get a lot of reference pictures.

Great works so far Sasa! The console looks really detailed! And you're fast! What's the livery on your 575GTC? Is it the same as Mr. Prini's? I'll add your link to the entries list immediately.

Hello Sasa,

Very nice start.

If I am not wrong this is a full resin kit, is it ?

Dou you still have M. Prini's thread link in your hands ?

(not for comparison, but to see what the finished model look like ! :naughty: :grinyes: )

Time for a little update.

I cleaned all of the moulded wires inside the interior to replace them with real wire. The one on the drivers side is not removed since it will be barely visible.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2079405.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2079406.jpg

I also made one test wire using three thin wires to cross them in one. It will be more then good.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2079410.jpg

I then started to prepare central console since it looks a bit different on the pictures I have, Squadron green putty is used.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2089412.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2109453.jpg

I also scratch built side protection box on driver side from thin styrene sheet.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2089411.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2089414.jpg

Same material is used for an extra reinforcement on the roof that will be visible and Tecnomodel didn't include it in kit, kit part is used as marker for the holes.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2099422.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2099424.jpg

electronic box that is visible on the reference material was also built from same stiren sheet.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2089417.jpg

I decided to put rear view mirror on the roll cage since that is how it is fixed on the real thing (instruction suggest to put it on the body.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2099427.jpg

Test fit of the chassis with Tamiya white primer on most of the parts (don't forget to wash all the resin parts with Nitro thinner).

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2109452.jpg

Body was cleaned, washed in Nitro thinner and lightly sanded before I added few Tamiya white primer coats.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2109448.jpg

More to come...I hope you like it.

this one is very liquid so it leaves almost no holes after sanding, it sands extremly easy and dries even faster, good thing regarding green is that you can easyly see when you sand it all of and possibility of oversanding is minimum.
Tamiya basic is very close but it does not fill that good as this one.

They were like that, the most perfect panels I ever saw.
I used scriber to make them a bit deeper on the front hood and the doors.

A bit smaller progress this time.

Chassis and roll cage are primed with Alclad black base coat and left to dry for 24 hours

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2149473.jpg

Body also received it's base coat, this is first time that I use Zero paints from www.hiroboy.com and I am very pleased with them. Although photo seams like it is rough in real it is very smooth but I will see when the clear coat will be on.

Body is clear coated with Zero 2K clear coat just with few lighter coats as a base for decals, it will be cleared one more time when decals cure, I can say that I am very pleased with this clear, I have tried few automotive 2K clears but this one is "the one".
Decals were next, I can just say that they are perfect, one of the best I tried.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2189646.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2189641.jpg

One more thing in interior that is not included in kit is fabric hose, it is detailed with electric connector for more realism.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2169517.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2169520.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2169524.jpg

Electronic boxes got some of the previously prepared wires.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2169526.jpg

Then I started to prepare parts that will go in Alclad. All parts are primed with MM (Testors) gloss black and then painted like this:
Wheels-Polished aluminium
Exhaust and fire extinguisher- Chrome
Electronic boxes-Duraluminium

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2189665.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2189692.jpg

Seat and dash board were primed with MM enamel black, then I sprayed Tamiya grey primer from approx. 1,5m for texture and then painted with lightly diluted Tamiya flat black also from 1m distance.
Back of the seat is decaled with supplied Kevlar decal and painted with Tamiya smoke.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2169525.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2189680.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2189674.jpg

I also made brake hydraulic hoses using soldier wire and Sakatsu items.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2189636.jpg

More progress soon.

Thanks for watching.

I don't have much to show but I spent enormous amount of time on this step.

First I applied clear over the decals, it went on OK, little bit of orange peal but it should have been easy.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2199694.jpg

I left it to cure for three days and started by sanding of some dust particles with MicroMesh 3200, then orange peal with 4000, then everything with 6000 and finished with 8000.

But I wasn't careful enough and sanded of Siemens decal from bonnet.

I was desperate, I already decided to leave it like that MEN were the letters that was sanded of but then I took spare decals and after I polished the bonnet I carefully made new letters from thin white stripe, letter by letter, it is not perfect but if you don't know where to look it is almost invisible.

After that I used various automotive polishing compounds to polish entire body. At the end I brought the shine back and made almost everything smooth but tinny scratches remained, they will be rubbed away latter on.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2229726.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2229752.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2229748.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2229755.jpg

Then I continued to work on the interior, putted the decals on, and various wires for connections.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2209712.jpg

I am so glad you guys like it, thank you very much.

Next few pictures have no real tooling look but I will try to explain with words.

Disk rotors are nice fat PE pieces but callipers were attached to it and if done like that give no realism at all. So I cut them of, cleaned the disks with Nitro thinner and painted with Alclad pale burned metal directly on PE. Callipers are taken from scrap box (I think they were on some DTM cars before), groove is made with rotary tool to fit the disks and those cut PE callipers are glued on faces. Everything is painted with combo of Alclad pale gold, burned metal and just a bit of chrome for finishing effect, letters are washed with acrylic red and callipers are cleaned after that with acrylic thinner to remove paint spills from letters.

Then I took fine sanding paper (1500) and removed paint from discs working surface (outer diameter) to get the effect.

The problem in this part is that all the discs that I saw on the 575 are different (rear and front) and looking different then ones I got in the kit, so I made them like instructions said even thou it could be wrong.

Central nut is made from turned alu, I painted it with pale gold and washed with black acrylics.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2259767.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2259779.jpg

Next part were CF bits and pieces, everything was cleaned and primed with Tamiya metal primer (since those parts are either white metal or PE), then I put enemal semi gloss on all parts and waited to cure.

All of the CF is from the kit except door panel, they are from SMS, pattern is the same just colour is slightly different.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2269806.jpg

Here you can see how does the door panel look after first drying period (decal placed and soaked with MicroSol), still a lot of bubbles and irregularities.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P2269807.jpg

Then I took small needle and pinched all of the bubbles and re-soaked with Micro stuff.

This is end result before clear coat.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P3019811.jpg

And all parts together

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P3019812.jpg

I started with seatbelts, hardware is from S27 while shoulder pads are from Scaleracecars.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P3019819.jpg

Also I spend three days polishing tiny scratches and finally I have satisfying result.

Complete kit is supplied with extra parts for some delicate stuff, also for some small decals. This is realy nice to see, if you ask me this Tecnomodel kit is the best curbside resin model on the market.

Actually I've gotten really tired of adjectives, are there good examples of commenting on such excellent works without adjectives? W:eek: W~~~~~

Perfect works on solving the problem on the decal, I may give up if facing the same problem. And I love the seatbelt verymuch, only the texture on the belt seems a bit out of scale, is that stuff coming from S27 too? I wonder if there's anything better than that to be the belts materials. And the shoulder pads are perfect! You can consider your next project ahead Sasa~~

Seat belts are done, pattern is definitively to hard for 24 but....that's how it is.

Next of were cameras, there are two in the car, one in the top right corner of front windshield and one in the top left corner on passenger side, they are made from soldier wire, electronic plug connectors and thin wire.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P3019829.jpg

Dash board finished

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P3049912.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P3029830.jpg

Next of, rear diffuser, although I liked how Mr. Prini did that, with soldiering all in place I opted in the end for super glue, soldier should be just to much for me.

Here you can see primitive way of PE bending, this measuring tool is perfect for that purpose.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P3019824.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P3019826.jpg

Primed with metal primer and grey primer.

Rear wing is also done, clear coated and all.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/P3049914.jpg

Inside of the body was painted with Tamiya flat alu with wide brush
