You dont need two topics pertaining to the same thing, especially on this. A quick search will find you your answer.
Short answer: no. Swapping in a 4g63 or anything else would be largely impractical and very time and money consuming. Just selling the car and getting a turbo car would cost far less than any swap and be just as or more powerful than any remotely low cost "bigger engine" swap you could try to do. You have a lot of reading to do before you will be ready to modify that car, use the search function, www.vfaq.com (http://www.vfaq.com), and look at the www.dsmtuners.com (http://www.dsmtuners.com) upgrade paths for a little bit of knowledge.
I'll leave this thread open, just keep it clean guys.

No you can't, the engines are opposite each other and the cost of the swap would be upwards of $5000, not to mention the complete waste of time and labor to have a stock GS-T, which you could have went out and bought one for about half the price of the car and swap together. I would advise against it unless you're Chip Foose and have a ton of money to waste.

see every1 keeps tellin me to sell my car and get a stock turbo. But theres a big problem wit that. im 17 in college and i dont got the money to spend on a another car if theres nothing wrong with this 1. Id rather just build this up but this is all new to me and this is my first car so im just tryin to fgure out a way to pull this off. and frankly i like this car!

I know where you're coming from, I got my first eclipse when I was 16, and 4 years later I have 4 of them. I'm just saying, it's a complete waste of money to try and swap in the motors, and unless you're an EXCELLENT mechanic, you'll give up before you're halfway done. If you want to make it go faster, you can always build up the stock motor, and throw on a turbo, but a complete swap is out of the question.

i know jack shit about puttin mods on cars. but how much hp do you think ill be able to get out of the stock 420a motor cause i hear the most i could probally get out of it is 250 hp.

Who told you 250? You should slap them. It all depends on what upgrade path you're going to take. Your car has 140hp at the crank, so without doing any *major* mods (cams, rebuild, etc), you should be able to maybe get ~150 out of it with an upgraded exhaust, CAI, lightweight underdrive pulley (crank pulley), and small bolt-ons like that. If you want to upgrade the head and throw on some cams, you'll maybe be lookin at 170 (again, these are all guesses, we wont' know until david_b has his car done). If you go with an all-motor rebuild with some higher compression pistons, and shit like that, you could maybe squeeze out ~190-200. A stock 420a boosted with 8lbs will put you right around 210-220, which is about the equivalent of a stock GS-T (maybe a little quicker), but then you risk blowing up your motor. I can keep going, but the rest will just sound like jibberish to you.

Just don't waste you money youngin. I've hated my 420a for a while, all that matters to me now is that she works when I it too and I think it looks pretty decent. Got it when I was 17, I'm now 19 and only by the end of this year will be in the position to get another car. Don't bite off more than you can chew.

Depending on what condition it's in, you *could* turbo it, but it drastically decreases the engine life. Like I said, look for a complete exhaust (exhaust manifold/header all the way to the muffler), CAI, ported throttle body, and a cold air intake. Should be enough to get you started.

No, there isn't. These motors were not built to handle a turbo, and especially with 120k on the tach, it just wouldn't be smart.

IMO turboing a 420a when you could just but an already turbo 4g63 is retarded, unless of course you know what you are doing, trying to prove a point with the 420a, or are trying to be different. Someone just starting out should for sure not just jump into a turbo kit, I wish I had pics of what some retard did to his Civic hatch back home. Definately know your shit and know it well before you do that.
