Out of the 5.3 4x4 owners in here, on average how many miles to a tank do you get? Mine has dropped off dramaticly. Does it have to do with it being so damn cold here or what? I could get almost 400 miles now I'm not even getting 300. Here are my last 4 fillups...

01/19/07 - 22.118 Gallons - $42.00 = 260 miles
01/24/07 - 20.121 Gallons - $37.00 = 302 miles
01/30/07 - 23.080 Gallons - $44.75 = 287 miles
02/05/07 - 23.208 Gallons - $45.00 = Dont know yet???

Does that look like bad gas mileage to you all??? It's hasn't gotten over 20 degrees here in the last month. What do you all think??

Mine has been pretty bad too. Getting close to the same thing you are getting. Hwy I can typically get over 400 miles to the tank.
City I can usually get over 300 miles to the tank
BUt lately I am having a hard time even getting to 300 miles to the tank.
What state are you in?
I know I let the truck run more now that I have a Remote starter.

Mines pretty well the same winter or summer, but then again I dont idle the engine to warm it up. Use of only top tier gasoline helps a lot I think

I live in Missouri, and my truck just hit 100k yesterday. Hopefully its just the cold weather here. Will do a tune-up as soon as it thaws out here. Thanks for the replies...

My mileage has dropped also.....(it usually does durring the winter).....but I've noticed changes in gas mileage being at a sharper decline than in the past. I've also experienced diesel fuel jelling at a lower temperature than it used to. I'm thinking..........less ingredients added to gasoline and diesel mean bigger profits for Exxon..??? I doubt that we're getting what we're paying for.......and I wonder what the long term effect on our machinery will cost us?
