transfer case

if i was going to check the fluid in the transfer case in my 1988 suburban 4wd 350 5.7L Where is the place to check the fluid and where do i fill it at.

if i was going to check the fluid in the transfer case in my 1988 suburban 4wd 350 5.7L Where is the place to check the fluid and where do i fill it at.

On the back on tcase are 2 plugs. IIRC, they are 24 MM. The upper one is the fill and the lower one is the drain.

Remove the upper one to check the fluid level. The level should be right up to the bottom of the fill hole.
