01 Jetta VR6 ebrake won't dissengage

I drive a 2001 Jetta VR6 5speed and this morning when I was getting ready to leave for work, my ebrake wouldn't disengage. The brake light goes out, the brakes are stuck, and my ebrake handle feels really loose now. :banghead: Anyone know how to take care of this?

Check to see how much brake pads you have left. If the pad thickness is ok than replace the e-brake cables.. there about 35.00 each at the vw dealer
