2 races...kinda

Neither are really all that thrilling, but here goes.
Coming home from dinner I'm driving my mom's 98 NA Subaru Impreza, I want the right lane and happen to be in the left. And in the left is a '05ish Civic coupe who wants the right lane. Light goes green and my AWD catches and we're off. He spins a bit but isn't far behind. I don't want to cut him off immediately and be a prick, so I continue to 'race' :uhoh: Into 2nd and I'm still pulling. As the auto lurches into 3rd I look back to see I have a little less than 2 cars seperating our bumpers. At this point I realize if I don't switch lanes now, I'm a) gonna hit a brick wall in this car's powerband, and b) have zero chance in slowing down enough to make the turn I want to. c) Vtec might be kicking in any time and then I was done for :p So I tossed on my blinker to let him know my intentions, and switched into the right lane, and immediately he switched over to the left, we both slowed and gave each other thumbs up and I took my turn. That literally may have been the Surbaru's 4th win ever.
Fast forward a couple hours and I'm cruising in the vr4. I pull up at a red and another 3000gt pulls up next to me. 2 red 3000gts next to each other...sexy. I let it inch by so I can check it out. Definantly not a vr4, so that kinda killed the moment. But it kept inching up anticipating the green. So I tossed her a little rev to let her know, I planned on being in front of her. Light goes green and even though she's auto-rolled halfway into the intersection at this point, I tach it to 3k and slip the clutch and roar out into the intersection. Never has a race ended so quickly. I didn't even get to 2nd by the time she gave up. I short shifted to 3rd and took it up to 55 and drove until she did the ricer flyby :nono: I followed her up to 70, not really wanting to race anymore because a) I knew I was faster and b) I knew we were rapidly approaching a few speed traps. After the flyby she managed to roll halfway through another intersection during a red light, and then kick up gravel from the middle turning lane (which she apparently wanted to drive halfway in for awhile), so I gave her space and eventually she turned off.
And here it is...your moment of zen
