I have a '90 Accord EX-R (Canada). The stupid antenna is screwed up, which is pretty common for Honda so I hear. I want to just disconnect it so that it stays in the extended position.
Can anybody tell me the best way to do this?
All help is appreciated. :help:

 What exactly is the antenna doing?
If your antenna is defective and need replacement, try eBay for a good price.
If you have no intention of replacing it and interested in keeping it extended at all times, that I'm not sure if at all possible. Normally that happens when the antenna motor itself is broken. The motor when given the juice will extend the antenna, and when the juice is cut off, it retracts. If you want, you can try breaking it by stopping it during the retraction motion. Then again, it will be in a way when you need to go through car washes.
Nothing in life is simple! :silly2:

turn your radio on so the antenna goes up, and if it doesnt go up all the way by itself, just pull it up the rest of the way. then just pull out the interior wall in the trunk and unplug the snap in plug for the antenna motor. there should only be two cables total. one for the antenna motor, and another to send the signal to the receiver. i did the exact same thing with my car, but since i never use the radio i just have it down all the time and then i unplugged it. i think it looks better with it down, it used to be like a r/c car with that damn antenna stickin way up in the air.
