gear problems

The other day, I cam to a stop light and when i took my car out of fifth gear, It would not go into any gear after that therefore leaving me stranded. I have a 1992 jeep cherokee sport with a 5 speed manual transmission. If anyone can help me with this please let me know. Also it will crank up in neutral without the clutch being pushed in. IS this normal? Thanks to anyone who can help me with this.

hey It may be your clutch, transmission, stacked gears, or a number of other problems. dummy
