97 qx4 wont start

I've got a 97 infiniti qx4 with over 100000 miles on it. A couple days ago I went to start my car, but only the lights would come on. I figured it was the starter, but the next morning it started up again, although it sounded a little weak. Today I went to start it and it wouldn't again and I have no idea what the problem is. Can anybody help me?

Either the battery terminals need cleaning and tightening or your starter has gone out on you. Tough to diagnose, I know...

Actually, the same thing with my 97 pathfinder. It will work a few times then nothing. All the lights come on in the dash, but the power wont get to the starter. i cleaned the it up, new battery, new starter. Not the problem. There is something to do with the electrical between the key and starter. Time to rewire i guess. If you find out could you tell me? thanks
