Flashing lights - keyless lock

Hi there

I have a 2000 Nissan Pulsar Plus. I have keyless locking, which works well, except that recently the lights that flash during unlocking/locking (ie all four indicators) not only flash when the button is pressed. They are also flashing (without locking or unlocking the car) continuously. Pressing the button seems to stop it. Any ideas on what is wrong?

Battery in your remote is going flat. Need a new battery and go through the key fob programming process.
