i can't really give a good opinion on this since i haven't listened to rap for a few years, and the last two yearsthat i listened to it i was listening to the recent "gangsta rap" crap like 50 cent *shudder*.

I agree Rage's lead singer, and one band I really dig, Boo Ya Tribe "Another Body Murdered"

First, i'm gonna say if you don't like rap, i ask you to listen to the album "The Score" by the Fugees (Lauryn Hill, Wyclef, Pras) as this is a great album that defines "true" hip-hop (none of the gangsta nonsense you'd hear from pac, 50, ice cube or whatever). I understand why no one likes rap, but not all rappers have this style.

My favorite rapper is either Method Man or Nas. Both have consistent killer cuts on all of their albums, especially Meth and his newest release 421 the day after.:bigthumb:

I don't listen to [c]rap anymore, but when I did, I liked LUDACRIS because of his rhymes...he always had some crazy lyrics. Also, TWISTA because he is so fast! don't believe me? Check out the song "Peace of mind (remix)....from 3:00-3:30 he really belts it out!!!

I belive you. In "Thug Life" twista and tupac played it very nicely. Twista is damn fast. Luda is good, he has some okay songs.

i like different artists, different genres. there's so much music out there, i can't pick a favourite in any of it.

i would put Beastie Boys runner up to De La Rocha.

This is very hard to narrow it down. Best lyricist? Definitely not Tupac. Top lyricist IMO..
