20R distributer points problem? truck wont start

okay I have a 76 toyota pickup (20R) today I was replacing the points for the distributer, now the truck wont start, im not gettin any spark thru the plug wires, but the points are opening and closing as they should, it just cranks but does not fire, when I turn the ignition off immediately one of the cylinders fires, just one, and only when i go from cranking to key in the off position?

I hooked up a timing light to the coil wire and while cranking i get nothing, but when i turn the key off, i get a flash... like simultaneously as i turn the ignition off, it flashes, and one of the cylinders fires... wtf?

Check to make sure the coil is getting power when the ignition switch is in the start position.
