pager alarm

Does anyone have the pager alarm system and so are they worth the money. I like to buy one for my car to monitor my car. I also like the othe features like ignition kill, auto start, outside climate and etc.

Im an installer. The pagers are pretty good. It depends on what brand and everything though. I have put in DEI pagers and they work well. I have also done Compustar stuff and the pager is built into your remote.

Thanks i will check those out. The one the sells person try to sell me was the aladdin a-2000 for $500 with installation. I thought that might of been kinda high cuz i seen different models running on the net from 150-300 and it look like he wanted to charge me $200-300 of labor for 3-4 hr job. Whats a reasonable price for a decent pager alarm with installment. Nothing to fancy just a something that will do the job. thanks

Anyway, the pager system itself runs 100 bucks from DEI. It can be hooked up to any DEI alarm. An Avital 2200 runs 199 installed at Best Buy.

Clifford has a new one. It's pretty bad azz... It the Matrix RS3. It's brand new. So there isn't that many websites out there that discribe it. It's pretty pricey. .But you get what you pay for.. It's cost about $700 (that includes the remote start,ignition kill, trunk/hood pin). I believe the range is 1000 feet. It has a LCD Screen and you can set it to page or vibrate.

As you can see in the pic. It tells you if someone is openning your door,if the sensor alarm is triggered, or someone tires to open your hood or trunk.

Just finished putting mine in about 2 hours ago and youre right, it is tIIIIGHT. DEI did well on this one. Oh by the way, the alarm ran me 157 bucks. Arent employee discounts great? :finger:

You mean you got the clifford matrix rs3 for 157? Damn dats a good deal? Tell us more about the alarm.

Damn you are lucky, any pager alarm for the price is a good deal. I been hella busy but going to check out it hopefully this weekend.

I just installed the new DEI Viper790xv also. It works great! It only took me about 5 min. to install. All of the plugs match the Viper 550 exactly. I think it sells for about 500 installed. I really would recomend this alarm. Only draw back is it only comes with one remote and extra remotes are not available as of yet. The old DEI remotes aren't compatible either. Just my 2cents.:)

I have the viper 550, how is the 790 better? I want to upgrade my alarm. My cousin's car had his amp installed 3 days ago and 2 days afterward his amp was stolen in front of his house. He would have caught the guy but his ass was TOO SCARED. He has one of them motion detectors his car and when it sets off the alarm sets off in his room. Not really a pager but no one can get around it.

Not to change the subject too much but that sounds kinda shady. Your cousin puts in amp then a few days later its stolen. Who ever knew that he installed the amp i feel that, that person(s) took it! Ya he didnt have to go outside and start cracking heads all he had to do was to turn on the lights and open the house door and wait a few seconds they would of left, and the amp will still be in his ride. That was smart stay in his house cuz he could of got hurt thats lot more money then replacing the amp. Not like some other people and my dumb azz would of came outside swinging, and not know what lies ahead. Im learning new things everyday i never heard about the motion alarm, i thought u had to touch the car or make such a strong vibration to make a alarm go off.

The Viper790xv has the 2-way paging remote. Check out riegirl's post it has the remotes pics on it. It has all the same features as the viper550 with the added 2-way remote.

Shiet, my car has been broken into 1 too many, and I don't want it to happen to my cuz anymore either. he has a motion detector in his car so when someone gets in it, it sets off. They got the amp quick, they just yanked it. The thing was so messed up. Last time i heard my alarm go all, i ran outside ASAP, what they gonna do shoot me? Yea ok, hardly. I'm not the only one that lives in my house, all fucking thieves know how to run. I have a paintball sitting in my room loaded and ready to fire if need be at them (don't want to kill them). I hate Thieves always have always will.

paint ball...lol...not laughing at you but never thought of using a paint ball gun. They (Thieves) hit my car twice. It was a hatch now i have a coupe. So far it has the basic alarm you know siren, and ignition kill. Now i have a car cover with with wire and lock. I know i know a thieve can get into anything if they really want to, but im hoping this will slow them down or think twice until i buy the two way alarm system. AKA pager alarm.. All yeah i hate them as well

Yea, whats the point of an alarm if your not going to do something when it happens. My bros are into paintball so we got paintball guns that shoot straight. One day i'll catch them. ONE DAY!

Viper 790x Responder/Phyton 880x (this post)

I'm a certified installer,and I already installed this alarm is the same in every feature with Viper 550 and Phyton 1500 the only different is the antenna this one has 4 wire and the other one has only 3 so if you need to upgrade from those alarm similar to this one what you have to do is swap wire harnees to the new brain and run the new antenna also this alarm have a good range and only come with one remote.
An extra remote cost $90.
Also if someone need this alarm or any other alarm and wanna save some money just email me or you can call me I'll do it cheap alarm + installation.
