If posting a pic for reference, please at least post one that is clear and in focus.
As for glueing windows, there are several viable alternatives, Testors makes a clear window cement which works well, any sort of white craft glue will also serve the purpose.
Regular model cement and super glue/CA glue should be kept away from clear parts.

The best glue I ever used for windows is micro kristal clear. Regular woodglue should work also.
Never use plastic cement or Superglue

Double sided carpet tape is what I always use to hold windows in place. It's strong,it's an invisible, instant join and it causes no harm to the clear plastic. The only time I don't use it is on a kit with individual windows instead of the usual ones with one complete window molding. For these I use PVA wood glue.

I use Testors Clear Parts Cement for my windows, chrome parts work, and any other clear parts. I also use this thing called Zap-A-Cap. It's crazy glue that hardens in a few seconds so I only use it when the weaker Testors stuff wont do the job to my satisfaction. Now I know a few of the members already posted to stay away from the superglue but this tube's worked well for me, and when I use it I use small amounts where it wont be seen.

I use CA or Epoxy glue wiehn i have hidden place where I can glue.
If I can't (like headlight or some window) I use White Glue. It's not the strongest, but always dry 100% clear and is water soluble (so if you mess up, it's easy to fix)
