what is the best setup?

I am considering building up an older MR2. What are the best years to go with as far as chassis weight and suspension performance?

Also, which engine configuration is the best combination? I will most likely be rebuilding the motor from the ground up myself, and am planning to have forced induction of some sort.

first gen or second gen?


my personal favorite: 1985 N/A hardtop chassis with a 3sgte (which is why I built one)

Suspension for any generation: if you plan on doing anything that involves a need for good suspension, spend the money on coilovers. It's worth it.
