I've seen alot about using a "bastard" lift by taking the leafs out of a s10 or dakota and using the leaf pack on the rear leafs instead of using the factory pack and gaining lift that way. I haven't found anything about if the coil springs out of another vehicle would do the same for example the coils out of a 4x4 dodge or s10 or something fitting directly in place and providing some lift over the factory coils. If anyone has done this or know of it working or where there's a writeup or something let me know thanks.

Typical front lifts:
1, 2, or 3 inch spacers.. Rocky Road has some.
ACOS...Adjustable...I would like to use these...
ZJ coils...Grand Cherokee..
F150 springs...stiff and rough though...
RE...rubicon express...longer springs
OME...old man emu...softer ride
Quadratec...http://www.quadratec.com/products/product_search.php?cv=1000&cn=Coil+Springs&c=120&pg=1

New coil springs seem cheap enough...so are spacers...

Thanks Alohabra I'm with you I'd love to get the ACOS setup but they're expensive. I'm gonna see what I can find for leaf springs from an early 90's model 2wd s10 and repack the leafs on mine with those. Then depending on how much lift that gives me in the back I will either find some ZJ coils or maybe the coils off an F150 and depending on the lift maybe off an f150 4wd. The f150 springs would be good because I've got a trailer hitch on the back and when i hook up my boat the back end drops considerably so when i redo the rear leafs that should take care of it. When I get it done if you want I can do a writeup for AF for this forum so others in the future can know how to do it without paying out the big bucks for lift kits.

Great...let us know what you find...keeping it level is hard to do without the trial and error...

I am using spacers, but wish I could do the adjustable...
