Bored in need of your input

the question of the hour, anyone know any good pc games? im bored like no other and after buying splinter cell double agent and the new rainbow six for xbox 360 im a little dissapointed ready to hop onto the old computer for a couple of hours of gameplay but i dont know of any good games to get, any ideas?

If you haven't played HL2 yet (don't know why you havent at this point) get that. Otherwise I like to cure my boredom on games like FS2004 or Sim City 4 (yea...I'm lame)

not to sound pathetic but i still have my original nes and both those games...but they dont sound good right now and plus there so danm hard on nes...

Try some strategy games like Ground Control or Age of Empires, those usually work well on older computers, not much processing power required.

Since you have time to blow, download and try out different games. I use this site since I'm lazy, and also because I can't stand playing half-assed demos.

I got Company of Heroes afew weeks ago, the graphics are awesome and you can barely tell the ground explosions from real ones. You get a Band of Brothers/Saving Private Ryan feel to it. Though you can see that theres not a single Swastika on the German buildings or flags, just the Ironcross.

Need for Speed : Carbon has sucked up a lot of my time.


Company of Heroes is fantastic, I'm pretty sure it has Swastikas. Maybe the Euro version doesn't?

call of duty 3 with xbox 360 live will suck up at least a month or two nonstop gameplay.........maybe more

if my PS2/controller worked i'd still be playing GT4.

it's more fun when you tweak all the suspension settings and stuff, makes a huge difference.

for the computer i'd suggest america's army. it's an online only game where you fight terrorists as the united states. it's actually really fun, but it's pretty challenging, there are alot of experienced people on it so n00bs get pwn3d alot. it's also free, but it's a pretty big download, when i got it it was 110mb, maybe more. http://www.americasarmy.com/

I've been playing Empire Earth 2 a lot lately.

If you've heard of it, there's a new Nitto 1320 out. Its still in beta testing right now, but once its done I got no doubt it'll be the best online drag racing game.
