Hi, I'm knew to these forums but have read them before. I had just written this long story of my street racing escapadeds but erased it somehow. I hate tech.
These are my first to races of my life and they both happened in the same day.
I roll a manual, four door, 251,000 miles, 1992 Acura Integra with original clutch and no modifications. I'm not trynin to kid anybody, i'm not trying to be a ricer. The first race was against my car and a 1995 or later Integra. To make a long story short he smoked me in a highway race.
The town car was a lot more fun. These dudes roll up next to me in a brand new Lincoln town car,v8 or v6 automatic. They are looking at me and i knew a race was coming. The light turns green and the linclon makes this really pissy burnout. I hit the gas and start smoking these guys. Unfortunatly this car starts merging into my lane and I have to switch lanes and slow down. The dudes turn off and i fly past him. If that bloody car wouldn't have gotten in my way i would have had an official win. In fact I'm still counting it as a win. Tell me what you think of my story if you want and thanks for reading.

welcome to the forums! congrats on your first races,, win or lose i'm sure you had fun and they probly got your heart pounding a little bit. i'm glad to hear you don't have that "my car's unbeatable" mentality that a lot of 16 year olds have. you have any pics of the car or plans for modifications?

Eh :dunno: your Integra sounds like a good first car. Learn to drive well in that and get something better later. Maybe hit some autoX's and work on them skills too.

Thanks guys,
When I first got my car I was planning to mod it out a lot. Unfortunalty 1 dear vs. car crash(my dad did that), and 1 massive hailstorm leaving little dents everywhere put a halt to my plans. Now I'm planning to buy a 85 Toyota Cressida for my project car. I was into drifting before fast and furious and am annoyed with my friends in their little civics sliding around on snow calling it drifitng! I plan to show how its done in the cressida. By the way whats autoX?

AutoX is the ultimate battle of car vs. cones! trust me dude it gets real old real quick. You might wanna try and check out some road courses and get some track times in.
Depending on where you live you might be able to hit up legit events.
Check out the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) and see what events they have near you.
Now as far as street racing just be cautious and try not to run wherever the risk factor is too high.
good runs btw.
