So thanks to arozoco2 (or something like that) I now have some very nice 1st gen fodlights for my sl
The issue is, how do i want to wire them in? I havent looke down there yet, so im not sure exactly what is close, but i wanted some feedback and ideas. I was considering saving time and just splicing into the parking lights or headlights.
also, when the foglights are come stock, do they turn on with the marker lights or only when the headlights are on, or are they completely seperate?
thanks for all replies.

Off the top of my head I think there is a button down and to the left of the steering wheel. When depressed, the fog lights will come on when the headlights are on. I keep the button depressed all the time. If I were you, I'd just wire them directly into the headlights...easiest way, unless I'm not thinking of a reason why you shouldn't.

your car already has the wiring and connector for the foglights. unless its been cut off. just look down there. so its as simple as bolting the foglights to the frame and plugging them in.

OK! They are in! It was a super easy install of course, but I did shear a couple of bolts off in the bracket:eek: . A drill and tap later and now I have a mitsu with a 1/4inch bolt on it haha (Why oh why doesnt Home Depot sell metric taps?)
Ill try to post some pics tonight when it gets dark:iceslolan I'm so happy to have the huge holes in my front bumber filled!

congrats on the install. would love to see some pics.
as for metric taps, i have searched high and low for those. only retail place you'll find them is at Sears. the occasional local hardware store might have some, but the probably don't keep many in stock. Sears is your best bet, but even then, they might not have all the tap & die sets. so i suggest checking out the Craftsman catalog or www.sears.com.
of course, if you wanna spend the big bucks, Mac, Snap-On, and Matco make some very nice tap & die sets you can purchase online or from a local tool dealer.

Looks good. Does anyone know if the stealth fogs are supposed to look like that? (just little circles) cause mine are that same shape of course but the light comes through the whole rectangle shape of the light.....what i mean is, you cant see the actual light bulb. The headlights look normal but the fogs look a lot like the headlights...if you get what i mean.

stealth fogs light up the whole rectangle. 3000GT fogs only light up the small circle.

Allright thanks, I looked around at some pics and other stealths and they are all the same so i came to that conclusion. I do kinda like the little circles though

i was thinking, along the lines of lights, but not the fogs. wat if on the 1st gen, with the pop ups. they have the little lense under the lights that dnt serve any purpose, u put daytime running lights, for some insurance companies it allows for discounts.
also wat if u took the pop ups and flipped em up, and then pushed em back in, but so they were projector lights. but make it so the plastic covering them is flush with the entire front end. kinda like the 300zx z32

I have been thinking about doing something like that to the snake eye lenses myself, but it would invole lots of custome work, and im not sure how I would want to control them yet, but im thinking of wiring them with the side marker lights, that way it would simplify the install and also allow some control. And I was tinking of just using some sort of LED bulb (maybye 2 per lense) ... So, ill prob be looking more into that late this summer, after summer semester ends and im bored.:grinyes: As far as projectors go, i feel like ive seen it done once (shoddily) but it would look good if done right, I just wish there was a kit for it.
