I can see my bushings quite clearly and, I know its just 13mm rachet to do the job.. So can I do this myself, will this throw the car off alignement..???? Id like to install some good quality ones..

You can do it on your own. Its not going to screw anything up if you do. Just don't play with your tie rods, or bolts holding the strut to your steering knuckles. You'll be fine.

Just stick with your oem ones. Polyurethane is Polyurethane. Its going to be just as stiff from every other manufacturer.

Something else has to be loose. Without being there man, i have no idea. Look for interior body pieces that may be loose or something.

there was a silent recall on intermediate steering shafts. I just don't remember up to what year. I got my car in oct of 2002, and had this issue replaced in i want to say late november of 2002. However, mine was one of the bad ones and it had more of a popping effect rather than clunking. Then again i also had my strut mount replaced at the same time as well and something was clunking. If your taking it to a GM dealership the tech should have been able to figure that out.

yes it is more of a poping sound then a clunk...sounds like when you crack your angle... but i was told that its not serious and, that i can drive with that for long time.. But it is very annoying at times.
