betty vs the comedians

so today i had a decent run with a couple of cars... so heres the setup

im leaving class this morning around 10 and i as im walking to my car there are a few people standing i'd say three or four cars away, next to an acura TL and a scion TC, as i get closer i unluck the car and the three guys look over, and the driver of the TL yells out and i quote "fuckin bmw's" and proceeds to snicker somethin to his friends. i didnt think anything of it and tossed my backpack in the trunk. as i go to get into my car i glance over at the guys and now the driver of the TC says, " you think thats fast?"
me:as fast as it should be why?
TC: wanna prove it? (by now im laughing to myself because the two other guys are standing there arms crossed looking "badass" and i hesitated for a moment because my clutch is bunk but i thought what the hell ill make these guys feel stupid)
me:which way are you three headed cuz i have to go to work
TC: up towards hammer lane
me: follow me then when we hit a clear light we'll go.
three guys: (snickering and laughing)
so we head up march lane cuz thats how i get to work and about three miles or so down the road we hit a red light and its all clear not too many people around, and btw on the way these guys would not stop dickin around, pacing me takin off and repeating... and i just look over and smile.
so on to the actual race.
we catch the light right as it turns red and my windows are down the the guy in the TL looks over and asks if i would like to place a little wager, and i say no cuz im not into that so he says, pussy... i just smile and throw a rev his way... traffic stops from the cross street and we get ready, they bring their revs way up and i bring it up to about 2500

light flips and i launch softly and they spin, its about even through first gear,
i hit second hard bark a little and pull hard on both of them, by the middle of third i have the TC at my back bumper and the TL at my door, i slam into third and pull about a half car on the TC and put the TL at my rear end where he stayed till i shut down, the TC by the end of my fourth gear was no where to be seen and the TL is just behind my rear bumper. so shut down and coast to the next red light and the TL driver and the TC roll up next to me. and this conversation ensues
TC"what do you have in that?"
me: nothing really, but i've beat TC's before so i dont know what to say, and like i said its as fast as it should be.
TC:ya whatever man
TL : how bout one more run for some cash, (and again i said no dude plus i didnt have any one me) and again he calls me a pussy
me: how bout for glory?(extremely sarcasticaly)
TL: fine, you and me
and just before we launch i gave him the hugest smile on the planet and took off

and once again we run but i launch a little harder and pull on him by like a half a car...
so decent runs and it felt good to put assholes like that in their place...

TCs are damn slow, I mean even for slow cars they are slow. they have like what 160 bhp and get smoked by 120bhp civics! thats gotta be the most pathetic toyota ever made! even my sister wont touch them with a 10 foot pole and she has a thing for slow cars.
the TL is nothing to be proud of either. its the "third world countryman's Ferrari".
I say you go back there and run them one more time. Looser has to throw his ride in front of an on-comming semi truck!

Based on your other kills I figured the tC was a joke and being that the TL is a Turtle Luxury car I figured it would hold it's own up until a point but not really... I mean yeah these cars can beat my Jeep but why are these ricers racing with slow girl cars and sedans against somebody who can rightly put them in their place? you know since you mentioned tC i was going to throw my .02 in. yeah i can totally admit the tC is friggin slow. it doesnt look that heavy but it weights in at 2905 lbs. PLENTY of torque, but the camry engine seems to run out of breath up top. versus those little civic hatches (my buddy has a stock 95 si hatch 125 hp but weighing in at only 2108 lbs). thats an 800 pound difference between the two. i have driven it before, but given the option i would much rather have the torque because it "feels" faster versus the civic feels very sluggish in the bottom end almost as if it is struggling. now a tC with the TRD s/c is a different story. i was lucky enough to test drive one ( hard to find a dealer with a s/c tC) the torque was great and it didnt feel like it was short of breath up top either. 200hp is much much nicer than 160 :) oh and if i may add, the tC does NOT and will never live up to the reputation or performance of the Celica.

it was a stupid race, but im sick of seein guys around school with retarded ass cars talkin shit to people. most of the guys in the body shop rock hondas, nothin against em, but they just out off that "jackass" vibe and they all sit around in the parking lot and just look dumb. its fun to mess this those kinda guys every now and then

As for the S/C'd tC. I have no clue how much a TRD SC runs or how much the Greddy kit goes for but i wagger that with the cost of car, mods and instal I could find a contemporary car thats faster, better handling and for less. You really have to be a die hard tC fan to stick with it I guess.

the s/c goes for about 3,200. the greddy kit is 3,500. ZPI has a kit for 2,800. the s/c puts output to 200. and the zpi to 230whp. im unsure of the greddy's numbers. i do agree though, im not THAT hardcore of a fan. Sport Compact Car magazine has a tC project car that they were trying to make compete with an RSX type S while keeping the price around 23,000 (the sticker of a new rsx-s that year) but i think they kinda gave up haha. it would cost too much to make that pig fly =/

ive heard the TC engine is pretty strong, but the TRD supercharger makes it like a high 14 second car at best.

whether its 250 or 270 its still about 60-80 more than i make at best right now but i think he was auto and im pretty sure they out weigh me bit a little bit so ya. and i was a bit surprised that i took him by that much, i was expecting more from it. and i was sorta hopin it woulda been closer than that but i guess betty lives to race another day.
