Where exactly is the ignition switch located? Would I have an issue w/ my extended warranty w/ remote starter hooked up if GM has known issues about ignition switches?

In the steering column, if installed correctly the remote start should not be an issue.

OK, For *@its and giggles I hooked jumpers up to the battery and it turned over slow and after a few it started. now it starts fine. I got home last night at 10, and this morning at 850 is when it wouldn't start. That wouldn't have anything to do w/ the ignition switch would it? Its a new battery, unless its got a draw from something how would it be so dead it wouldn't even turn the clock on the radio in under 11 hrs? Am I safe to assume there is a draw somewhere, or maybe something else? What kind of draw is normal? I'm gonna check for draw and I think I need to have no more then .004volts??? or more or less?

It's possible there is a constant small short/draw from somewhere, but I've run into this exact scenario with a 2000 blazer 4.3L. Put a brand-new battery in, new battery died after a few days. Wound-up being the alternator was not charging as it should. GM alternators are a tad on the shiddy side. I wouldn't think this was an ign switch issue on your GMT360.

It started this morning sat around 12 volts then the lights flickerd a little and it jumped up to 14+ where it normally is....Think the alternator is @#itn' out? How pricy are these alternators and how could i check this intermitent problem?

Check Napa, Autozone or the likes online, but a reman'd alt is probably around $100 I'm guessing. I've found having them tested is unreliable as the internal voltage regulators act up based on temperature, RPM's, load, etc... If that alternator is ~5yrs/old with over 50Kmi, it's probably shot.
