it all started today, i noticed my breaks felt funny (ABS) came on for a few seconds.... well, i parked, when i came back out to go home, i started acting funny, the speedometer was jumping from 0-40, then to 60 it read fine, shortly after, i came to a stop again, i noticed it wouldnt shift properly like it took a while to get to 2nd, then for some reason it was stuck there(it might be 3rd gear), it wont even go to 1st..... i dont know what it is, i been reading threads and it seams to be a speed sensor. im not very literate in this stuff so i dont know how to check it.
plz tell me how much it will cost me and if i can do it myself. i might have to ride my motorcycle tomorrow to work :( and its cold as hell and going to be raining, (freezing rain) so quick answer is really helpful thank u

First step is to get it on a good ABS brake/engine/ and transmission capable scanner and get all codes and post back code no.

Your best bet is to find a good repair shop that has one and can check it for you.

Tips on finding a good repair shop.

Check around Ask around
Word of mouth.
Family friends coworkers neighbors business people and delivery people.
Mailmen and parcel delivery people get around and notice a lot of stuff.
Even a good parts house knows what shops are good and not good.
Chamber of commerce and better business bureau and city hall.
If you find a good referral to a repair shop go look them over and talk to them.
Look for a clean looking busy place with nice people running it.
Ask a few questions and ask about their qualifications and training.
Not all places have trained tech/mechanics.
If they do not find a place that does.
Even all dealers do not have all trained techs/mechanics.

well, before it started acting up, i was doing alot of mud bogging, so it might be where the sensors are just dirty, so i just need to know where the sensors are, i try so hard to ask a simple question, but no one seems to answer it, i need to know what i need to do to make those sensors accesible, and where they are exactly, its 4x4 2000 blazer... it might just be dirty.

thank you
meenwhile ill be driving a single geared car getting about 3 miles to the gallon.... :( thats what i get from purchasing a piece of shit domestic

There is about 7 speed sensors on it.
Which one are you trying to get to or how do you know which one to work on?
The main VSS sensor is on the transfer case tail end.
Wheel speed sensors may be made in wheel bearings.
And the transfer case may have a front and rear propeller shaft speed sensor.
I would suggest you pull codes to know which one is acting up.

My money is on the front wheel speed sensors. You will have to take off your front wheels and behind the rotor you will see a black wire connected with hub assembly. That senses your wheel speed.

I have an ABS issue right now and the scanner tells me I need to replace it. I plan on doing this if the temperature ever gets about 20*F this week. :-/

Before going and doing all that, you have to, like MT mentioned, get it scanned. The front wheel sensors will not affect the speedometer, and transmission operation, the VSS, which like MT mentioned, is on the transfer case out shaft housing, this will affect these systems, but still, get it scanned properly, that way your not spending money needlessly if that is infact not the problem.
