High mileage?

Do you think these cars are capable of getting the high mileage Volvo's are known for? I'm looking at a few that have between 125,000-145,000 miles on them. I'm considering them because they're less expensive, and Volvo has a good name. I do realize that a large part of any vehicle's lasting power has to do with how it's been maintained.

I only ask because VW used to have a good reputation for getting hundreds of thousands of miles, then they went cheap & you're lucky to get to 80,000 without having electrical issues & cosmetics falling apart. Just wondering if Volvo has done the same :(
