Daygo Gas ?????

anyone from the daygo area know where i can get gas that is higher than 91 octane..
back east we used to have 94, and i'd like to get back to at least 93, any place sell it???

I don't think you can even find 92 octane anywhere in California anymore. 91 is cheaper and easier for the gas companies to produce and sell, so we're pretty much stuck with it. In fact, you can probably expect many other states to stop offering anything above 91.

Basically the only option is to go to a track and buy gas there.

Any particular reason you need a higher octane gas? Are you getting knock with 91 octane?

no real reason, i am not getting any problems at all..
i just prefer a 94 over a 91...
especially after running the car on it since it was new ya know...

You can get that at a hobbie shop. For a gallon it would be about $23.00 if I remember correctly. There is a hobbie shop on convoy by bootworld that sells it. My friend uses 94 ontane for his toy race car, its fast as hell. It gots like top speed of 40 mph. Its unsafe for a car though, it might cause a fire, even though how much fuel management you have. That is just my two cents. I hope that helps. Peace.

At $23 a gallon you might as well go to a track and buy race fuel.

Really you shouldn't need anything over 91 octane. If you were running really high compression or FI and knocking, then it'd be worth looking for. Otherwise, really no need.

Besides, you get a more complete burn going with a lower octane as long as your engine can handle it.
