Use a hairdryer to heat and pull off the bulk of the stripe, then use a chemican called Xylene to remove the yukky goo. It won't harm your paint and can be found in the paint section of any hardware store. Works like a charm!

Awsome, I was thinking of taking mine off. Lady that had it before me always ran it though the auto car washes and I guess the pressure washer kind of chewed the pinstripe up. :( No pinstripe would look better than a chewed up oinstripe! :)
Friend of mine said he could paint some on there for me, I was wondering about removal though.
Glad someone asked this.

I have a white 98 AV6 and I took my pinstripe off about a month ago. I used a hairdryer and then used Goo Gone to get the adhesive off. Looks great! No paint fade at all. fingernails got kinda sore after a while. I suggest doing it when it is warmer, sucks doing it when it is cold and the pinstripe wont stay heated.
