While driving my car i hear this like loud most erritating noise that comes from the front right of the car. It happens when i either turn the wheel or hit a bump. If hte car is shut off and i go to the front and push down it does it also. I am guessing its the strut, but does this mean its bad..... Thanks anything would help. Its a 98 mitsu Galant.

if its a knocking noise, like a rubber ball bouncing under your hood every time you hit a bump or a sharp turn, i'd suspect the front swaybar links and bushings first.

LOL. I dont think its that. Its just a loud screaching noise like putting ur finger nales on a chockboard and scraping it. LOL. Its that annoying. Its only the right side also. if the car is off the ground it dont make the noise, but if the tires are on the ground and i turn the wheel it makes the annoying noise. So thats why i am assuming its the strut.

Hmm. Sure its not the drive belts squeaking as the power steering pump is being loaded? That or the brake rotor backing plate is just barely touching the rotor on turns and bumps.

Ok i am guessing none of you looked at my previous post. Its not the rotor, nor the belts. LOL it does it when the car is off as well. If i have the car up on jacks and i turn the wheel or steering wheel nothing happens. But when im driving every time i turn the wheel it makes the noise and every time i hit a small bump in the road. Which prettymuch menas its the front strut. Thanks.

Wheel bearing maybe... But if it does it when you push down on the car then it may be the strut or some other suspension component. GL
