how to make interiour noise quiter

hey guys, i just wonder if its possible to make interiour noise more quite cuz im driving an integra and also have loud muffler, so its too noisy to drive on highway so i was thinking maybe there is a way. what i was thinking maybe put some wool under plastic covers and on doors, under panels rip stock plastic cover and install some thicker one. theoretecly it should block sound from outside but before ill sdtart doing it maybe someone have some advise for me thank you. oh yeah and sorry if i misspelled something english my second language and i think you can see that lol :)

http://www.dynamat.com/ It's an insulation material that helps to keep out noise as well as keep sound in (better sound from your stereo). I don't know about Home Depot, but you can get it at Pep Boys, Best Buy, AutoZone and pretty much any car audio shop.

There are quite a few companies that make similar products, so shop around for the best deal.

wow i didnt even know there is such a product on the market, awesome thank you alot! just one more question - i found eDead liquid and mats, does anybody know what works better? or there is not really a difference in quality its just different applications?

nope its some loud aftermarket :) sounds so good but anoying after driving for a long time :(

ok i did a little reseach and chose this option: buy some mats, for the whole car from roof to flor:) and than cover it with couple layers of edead liquid thing (v3 i think) and than all empty spots fill with foam :) even in plastic trim pieces, especially in the trunk area.

but im a new at this and dont know anything so any advises? and did anyone painted ove mats before?

I would put the paint on first, see how the sound is, and then put the mats over the paint if you stilll need more sound proofing. Then have a friend rev the engine while you're in the back of the car. That way you could probably save on mat (and weight) by being able to pinpoint where you need it the most. And you will be adding quite a bit of weight with all this stuff. A lot of people remove the stock sound deadening tar to save weight, less weight = faster to an extent. And in a '92-'95 Civic (just to give you an idea), there is about 20lbs worth of tar on the interior firewall and floor. So adding all that extra stuff will just add on to the weight of the tar that's already there in stock form. Just some things to think about.

and do you think i wold be good with two gallons of paint

I really have no idea. On that one link that says where to put the stuff, it says to use 1 gallon or 50 sq ft of the mat. So I assume 1 gallon will cover 50 sq ft, then just figure out how many sq ft you have inside the car. And from that I would guess that between 2 and 3 gallons would cover the car, probably closer to 3 (but who knows what they consider the average car size to be).
