Heater unit swap?

Hello, i was curious, i have a 03 expo, it has the stock heater controls (3 "knobs) one broke, im going to have to replace it, will the upgraded heater unit (with the digital disply etc..) hook up to the harness my expo has, or is it a completly different system? thanks in advance...jeramaih
