that looks nice for the second model! you have learn't a lot from the first one. Here is my tip, new modelers should start and try do all the advanced things..like with the z-tune you tried to do window trim. Wait till you have abit more experience and then try that. It takes time to do the trim so start of with the basics and then build up to the more trickier things. Thats just my advice. does anyone else agree??

Since the Z-tune, Ive read a few how-tos, including the window trim. Ive picked up some new paint and brushes, and some Tamiya masking tape, so Im hoping for a better go at it this time.

The Z-tune I did most of my painting with Duplicolor scratch n fix tubes that I got from an auto parts store, and the brushes were big and clumped up pretty easily. Ive learned from that experience. Definately not doing that again...

That looks GREAT for a second model. The lights look real good. Add some more shine along with panel lines and small details to the body and it'll be a stunner!

To show that Ive learned from my previous mistake, here are the weather stripping lines on the Impreza...

Coming together a bit more...still have to touch up the panel lines on the passenger side, and do the lines on the front and rear...

Im using Turtle Wax F21 car polish to polish the Tamiya blue paint, then Im debating on using some Tamiya clear...any suggestions are welcome...

Any thoughts on using Tamiya clear? Would it be a good idea after polishing the top coat?
