I have a 2002 Silhouette and the outside temp reading is off it will say its 56 degrees out when it really is only 10 degrees out. What can I do to fix this.

From what I understand, the temperature sensor is a thermistor, or a device whose resistance changes with temperature. Therefore, if there is any corrosion or a bad connection in the wiring, then it might fool the display.
I'd first find the thermistor (usually mounted to the side of the radiator) and make sure the connection is clean and tight. If it looks good, you might just see how much the replacement sensor is and try replacing it. Or, if you have a buddy with a similar GM van that does work, you could swap it and see if it fixes the problem.
You might also search the archives for this van and the sister vans...this seems to ring a bell as something another poster had problems with...
Hope this helps...Glen

The sensor is in front of the radiator to the left. It's a little black plastic housing several inches high or so. They are fairly exposed to the elements and are known to go bad over time, either not working at all or giving false readings. I know mine is usually off 10-15 degrees in weather over 60 degrees, but is almost spot on accurate in colder weather.
They are available after market for around $15 (http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDetail.aspx?mfrcode=GPS&mfrpartnumber=77919071&parttype=761&ptset=A) or you can get original equipment. I believe OEM is around $20 but don't quote me on that.
