And boy was it a toughy!!! 1/24th scale Tamiya Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R Z-tune model! But it was certainly fun!! She still needs a coat of polish, and I need to buff the headlights to clear out the fogginess, but this is basically the final product...

Great choice of wheels, they look great. Refine your skills a bit and you will be an excellent builder.

Not a bad build for your first time, though you chose a kit that goes together almost by itself :p

My only suggestion is to try a Sharpie or Gundam marker to detail the window trim next time (or for that matter, you can still go over it now)... It may not look that way in person, but the camera tends to pick up all the little missed spots in the trim, where the silver shows through. Shouldn't be too hard to touch up!

Excellent work though!

Thanks, guys! :) The wheels did come with the car in the package.

And yep, my next build is an 02 WRX STi. Im doing it as a gift for a buddy of mine, seeing as he owns 3 of em!

And from what Ive seen so far, the Subaru goes together easier than the Skyline!!

Thanks! I used actual auto paint on the body! Duplicolor Silver Metallic...

I'll never do that again, though...enamels and acrylics just dont mix :P

It looks 10X better than my first model which I brush painted. I warped my first R34 in my food dehydrator.

Yeah, I used to brush paint model planes....came out terrible...then I learned the ways of the airbrush...

Not bad at all for a first kit. Trim could use some touching up, but other than that it looks great. You're getting your paint down fairly nice and smooth. That's usually one of the harder things to get the hang of.
