My book says they make 200 HP. I just finished today working on a 90 model 5.7 that had headers and the owner said they were not worth the trouble to install. He said they made little to no differance as did the throttle body spacer they claim is so great. I can't comment on the intake issue as I know no one that has replaced one. There is a guy on Ebay that opens up these throttle bodies too flow ~ 600 cfm from 470 cfm. I'm thinking of trying that myself, it made a lot of differane on a 96 lt1 corvette I had a while back. Good luck.

If you want to put headers on i'd recommend a complete exhaust system replacement. I dont know if you live in an area that does emission testing, if they don't pull the cat converters and go to a large diameter pipe with some sort of full flow muffler (turbo, flowmaster, glasspack, etc.). On the intake, depends on what your wanting to put on. Overall your not going to gain alot of horses on bolt on accessories.

cool thanks
ya actually if found it out it makes 210hp. i was planning on installing a k&n cold air intake and a full exhaust headers to tip i was planning on just breaking the honeycomb out of the cataylic so it would be similar to a resonator.

it's a 350 size engine so i would think it could hit 400hp but what else can i do to get big hp improvements. not interested in nitrous. super charger? cam lift? i would like 300hp if it is possible and as long as it don't get two expensive. 5000cdn is what i could do including the exhasut/intake which ain't very much

well since this 350 is TBI (throttle body injected) it is hard to make 300 hp. But i think you can make 300hp. Put a LT4 Hot Cam in it with some good 350 heads and headders and full exhaust and get it tuned and you will make well over 350hp. The reason they put this TBI in the trucks is because they make GREAT torque, which is key for towing and pulling. I think the truck has 210hp and over 300 pounds of torque.

does that suck? Headders are a great mod fot TBI. The stock manifolds restrict the flow major. If you put headders and full exhaust on it and get it tuned you will see over 25hp diffrence. You can get new "Prom" chips burnt at. www.tbichips.com

We've bought chips there before and had great luck with them. Hey, on the cam you have to be careful. One major mistake made by a lot of enthusiasts is to put too high of a RPM cam in which causes the motor to lug in standard driving mode. Look for a cam that builds power below what the engine RPMs are at good cruising speed (55mph). Other than that everything sounds good.
