I get all my stuff from Hobbyco - most mainstream kits (Tamiya, Fujumi) paints and accesories. They sell gunze paints but they the acrylics. Tools there are occasionally a good selection but as you said there's astro hobby down the road for some cool stuff straight outta japan.

I buy most of my stuff online from www.frontlinehobbies.com.au (http://www.frontlinehobbies.com.au) or sometimes if i am in the area, i will go to vagg's hobbies in miranda. I don't know if they have those paints or photoetch saw though.

Frontline is in Newcastle which is about 1.5 hours from sydney. I shop there and it has a pretty good range of paints. However, I think they only carry stuff like primers, mr surfacer, base white etc from gunze. I can't remember if they carry rattle cans.
