Need Help Malibu 2003

:frown: my car was running fine yesturday all day all night. I go to start it today and it wants to start but wont. So my fiance and neighbor went out started messing with it. They tried dry gas cause i filled up my car yesturday and they were thingking something was frozen. Well still no luck. I came on here tonight and read something about the passkey could be the problem.

Well i went out to the car and turn the key to the on position and let it sit for ten minutes until the blinking theft light stopped blinking turned to off and tried starting it. Well all of a sudden the battery clicked off and the clock in car went to 12 and all lights went dimm.

What is going on??? Please help, I know it cant be the fuel pump because I just had one put in a few months ago.

gas doesn't freeze. maybe your car is infested with nanobots. it can be the fuel pump has gone bad. was it an oem? i'd suggest getting the insurance money for this gem.

My car started this morning. I let it run for a little bit shut it off and it started right back up. So I guess the pass key thing worked. The funny thing is when I told my fiance that I did that he was like you probably ruined your car. I said no the book says to do that.

So I guess what i did worked. I read here on another post that their car didn't start after the irst try and then went back 4hrs after doing the pass key thing and it started right up. MY thing is if it keeps doing it that must mean that there is something going on with the pass key.

you need to crash your car. passkey is BS.

Have you had anymore problems with it?? If it happens again, then you are right, the passkey system could be going out, more than likey the ignition tumbler... About the clock going to 12 and your light going dim, I dont think that has anything to do with the passkey system, you might want to keep an eye on your battery and alternator.
