I'm seeing them wednesday the 31st, at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, got great seats. I'll post more crappy photos from my crappy cellphone camera agian like i did with Tenacious D.

If they're comin' near you, check 'em out, they really put on a great show. Personally, i'd like to hear some old hits like Stellar and Pardon Me, but i doubt that. Even their 'Crow' tour didn't play them. (they did play Drive, though)

They just came through Atlanta on Tuesday. My roommate went, since I couldnt get tickets. Tickets were sold out in the presale. He said they played all of Light Grenades and most of their hits, Megalomaniac, Pardon Me, Wish you Were Here, and more.

you know, comparatively to the rest of their works, i really didn't like Light Grenades as much.

yeah, Tix sold out in pre-sale here too, i just figured since it was NYC, though. wow, did they play a small venue there, too? could be why. Hammerstein isn't that big, atleast compared to the venues they used to play like The Garden or The Colleseum.

They played at the Roxy. Its not near as big as Phillips Arena, but its a decent size. It could be considered a small venue.

I liked Light Grenades, but I only really like Love Hurts and my favorite is Dig.

they might come back for another round with larger venues, then.

i gotta say, my favorite album would be Make Yourself and Morning View. Fungus was awsome, too.

I saw them in Seattle on the 6th, first US show of the tour. It was pretty good. I've always been a fan though I'm not familiar with all their stuff, I only knew about half the songs they played. They did Sick Sad Little World which I had never heard before the show and now I'm in love with it.

My only complaint was the crowd. Bunch of teenybopper emo kids just kinda standing around nodding their heads. Get into it, jump around or something. I'm not a fan of mosh pits but there's a lot of space to play in between a pit and just standing there singing along.

hahaha, i know what you mean, the "scene" kids that don't really have a life. i'm excited though, if no one jumps around, atleast i will be! TOMORROW!! (my friend is bringing his camera, so i'll post up good pics, not crappy ones, this time :)

im dissapointed there werent any pics posted... lol. i didnt get tickets even though i could have in pre sale. i forgot simply. they are my fav. band.on the crow tour they played all of their hits, atleast at my show. they put on a fantastic show and the reason they are doing small venues this time is intentional. they want to have a more intimate show, but yeah, you definatly have to jump around and get into it. especially when they play songs from SCIENCE. and the guitar solo in sick sad little world is sick. since i wasnt able to go... did they do the drum solo? last time it was in the middle of Vitamin and it was the most amazing thing ive ever seen. i just stopped dancing and watched with my jaw about to the floor.

The Incubus on tour now is not the Incubus I know and love.

At least they weren't when I saw them in 04

they've lost a lot of their raw funk, but atleast in "Crow", on tracks like Zee-Diveel, they tapping back to roots in Fungus Amongus. I can't say Light Grenades does the same for me, I feel like there are too many lyrics, in a sense... an emphasis more on the poetry rather than the music. I dunno, i've been trying to let it grow on me, but its not happening, (not to say its bad in the least, just not as good as the other albums)

I'll get those pics, AND VIDS up soon, i promise!

i think the beauty of them is how they are able to change and what they make still stays very good. i wasnt sure about the new one at first either but now i love it. dig is just awesome.

dig is the one song i'm really liking, too. still, i'd back up most bands' evolution, however i feel they've moved further from their funk rock and more toward an artsy/scene movement, something you'd find from an Art Major at NYU in Greenwich Villiage. Like... as if they're trying too hard to evolve. I think where they were with Crow was a great balance. Morning View was incredibly mainstream, but still kept their roots intact. Whatever, i guess this is just one of those albums that disappointed me. Again, not saying its bad, though. just not the incubus i like.

mainstream nowadays is not rock n roll at all. even the popular rock that is played on radios is totally different from what incubus is doing. right now everyone is in the lets try to sound like nickleback phase. i think what your saying is they arent nearly as hard as they used to be in most songs. but IMO good rock n roll. which also IMO is different from rock. i dont use rock short for rock n roll cause they arent the same. im like a hard core music/rock n roll guy. i listen to it all starting way back with chuck berry and shit... but im not trying to say your wrong vinny, or anyone else... because its opinion.

incubus is good, i saw them about 5 years ago and was a fan ever since. the crow cd was ok, and i havent heard the new cd, but you gotta take the good with the bad and except them for what they do..

since i wasnt able to go... did they do the drum solo?

They did it in the middle of Sick Sad Little World, right after the guitar solo. It was the bomb.

thats cool. on the last tour they did it right in the middle of Vitamin. if you buy the live at red rocks dvd you can see it.

they did it in the middle of Sick Sad Little World last time, too, atleast for us in Buffalo. (yeah, it was totally awsome)

Also, they did an acoustic version of several songs, but what was different was Kenny came out as well with an acoustic bassl.

they've postponed the tour, i dunno if they'll still play the same venues. Danny Carey (drummer) tore his bicep wrestling his gf's dog and needed surgery. They've only announced that Bonnaroo is still going on, the tour however is indefinitely postponed.

Been spending time yesterday and today learning to play Anna-Molly. Maybe it's just cuz I haven't been playing long but it's a hard one! I can get through to the 1st verse, though not very smoothly yet.
