yes you can or you can do the resistor trick that I've posted about too but are you sure it's your bypass for the passlock and not the remote start itself??? I've had 18 of those bulldogs come into my shop to be installed and I bet only 1/2 actually worked. They all seemed to work a little different. Some not at all, some wouldn't turn on the acc. or ign.. Some even had about 10' of maximum range.

thanks for reply i installed the remote start my self it worked great . it never give me problems. i think my tumbler is bad i cant even get it to reset.
sp i think i need to buy the expensive tumbler and then wire in the toggle in case it fails again. what you think.

what do you mean you can't get it to reset??? How did you bypass the PK system in the first place???? Why not set that bypass to trigger when you go to start it with the key????

does any one know what im doing wrong

i will start from the begining
one morning my car would not start, i could not here the fuel pump like i did before. it is my understanding that my lock cylinder went bad
i got a new one and installed it. and i wired in a bypass switch to disable pass lock . my car still wont start . i reset it for 33 minutes like everyone talking about but still no start. what am i doing wrong?????

I think that you misunderstand how the PK system works. The tumbler is a mechanical part that can only cause a mechanical failure. the PK system uses a transponder that is in the key to communicate with the BCM on the car replacing the tumbler wont fix the PK system

crash it and get a new car

How the hell is he going to do that when he can't get it running. That should be the quote of the day.

Even if you don't have the right PK code, the fuel pump should still come on for a few seconds. It's the injectors that are shut off.

have somebody tow him with a chain and then crash it...you need to think of all possibilities

Thank you all for the info
I got up this morning tried to start it no dice.
So i pulled fuel pump relay to check to see if the fuel pump is working.
its hummed and i cranked the starter i thought it would run for a few seconds and stop. soo just in case i swapped the horn relay for the fuelpump relay, it started and ran. i shut it off reluctantly and it did not restart. theft lock was flashing , so i turned ignition to assesory for 15 minutes. it started and for now runs fine. i hope it starts in the morning!!!
remote start works also go figure

i want to try the resistor idea but i cant find a 6.25 ohm resistor
Radio shack does not have one that small . Does anybody know where i can get this forum is great thanks for the info

What??? Of course they do. You might have to get a few to get it dialed in close enough but still. Here, try thishttp://www.physchem.co.za/Current%20Electricity/Resistors.htm#Ohms%20law
