I just sold my 1995 3KGT SL and decided to move up. I found this and am picking it up next sunday. What do you think?

The car is black with charcoal leather interior. The car has 72k miles on the body and has 2k miles on the fresh engine rebuild. We are the third owner of the car. It is also stored winters. It has a clean Carfax report. The body is in very good condition overall. There are a few rock chips in the front. There is also a few scrapes on the lower section of the front bumper. The car still looks awesome as you will see in the pics. The interior is in really good shape also, besides some wear on the side bolsters and the normal cracked dash vents. All of the power options work. The car runs and shifts great with no problems. It has a badass stance with the black exterior, lowering springs, and wheel/tire combo. We have receipts for all parts and machine shop labor for engine. Anyways, here is a quick rundown of mods, maintenence, etc...

Engine:
*Professionally rebuilt engine from top to bottom
*Cylinder heads milled and rebuilt
*Front and rear turbochargers were rebuilt and balanced
*All brand new gaskets were used during rebuild
*New timing belt, tensioner, pulleys, NKG spark plugs, etc...
*New water pump, oil pump, acc. belts, radiator, and thermostat
*Powdercoated red front and rear valve covers
*Polished spark plug cover with Stealth milled into it

Drivetrain:
*Resurfaced flywheel
*New Exedy Stage 1 clutch disc and pressure plate
*New throwout bearing
*Penozoil Synchromesh fluid used in transmission
*Transfercase rebuilt and filled with new fluid (Recall Done)
*25 spline output shaft in transfercase
*Rear center differential fluid changed

Intake:
*Polished intake manifold plenum
*Polished y-pipe
*Vacuum hose reduction kit
*EGR blockoff plates
*K&N cone air filter
*TurboXS Type H blow off valve
*TurboXS manual boost controller set at 10psi

Exhaust:
*Gutted pre-cat/no main cat
*Polished stainless steel 3 inch downpipe

Suspension/Wheels:
*New front outer tie rods, balljoints, driver side wheel bearing
*New front rotors and brake pads
*Intrax lowering springs
*Faulken GR Beta 245/40ZR-18 tires
*Privat Profil 18x8.5 rims with new lugnuts
*3,500 miles on wheels and tires

Miscellaneous:
*Dual gauge pillar pod
*Autometer Sport-Comp boost gauge
*Autometer Sport-Comp electric oil pressure gauge
*New Duralast Gold battery
*New floor mats and leather shifter boot
*New power antenna mast

So there you have it. A hard to find low mileage 1st gen with fresh motor and some minor mods that hasn't been beat. The price for the black stealth with profil rims/tires is $9,500 . The car can also be sold with the stock rims/tires also if somebody wants. The car was just detailed last week.

I think I'm confused. Are you selling or buying the stealth? I'm guessing you are buying it, and just copy&pasted the entire description...because at the end it sounds like you are trying to sell it.

Anyway either way, looks like a good deal. Congrats if you just bought it. Why was the motor rebuild, and also I didn't see it mentioned, but I hope they flushed hte oil cooler too. That is a sure way to ruin a perfectly good rebuild.

Also the ECU caps..think of them as ticking timebombs...get them replaced.

And crank the boost up, 10psi isn't enough

Looks like they took care of it pretty well and did some nice mods. Nice pickup!

Thanks. Ya I plan on buying it. I go next sunday to pick it up and officially buy it. He bought it from a college kid who could not afford to fix it. he rebuilt it because of a spun bearing. I think he just got a new intercooler, i believe. he did say something about it, so i'm sure it is taken care of. Since it already has a down pipe should i go ahead and do a custome exhaust? what would be a good next step(small).

Agreed, I know from experience. My caps just fried my ECU. This is an especially common thing on a 1st gen 3/s and even DSM's.

oil cooler and intercooler 2 different things. If a bearing spun, there are metal shavings in the engine oil. When the block is rebuilt and machined, that fixes the engine, but if the oil cooler and lines aren't flushed, there could still be metal shavings in there, which can easlily destroy a freshly rebuilt engine. I'd ask to make sure...assumptions can be dangerous.

Read the FAQ for mods. Exhaust is next to worthless on a BPU TT performance-wise, except if you want the look/sound. Toss in some 93 octane, crank the boost up to 13psi, and get used to driving it. Going from an SL to a BPU vr4 is a leap, take some time to get used to it.
