I just got my silverado. But that is going to be my daily driver,lol. I think i might have the camaro sold. The silverado is a 88 (same body style 88-98) regular cab long be 4x4 350. That should be fun.

sedan... needs a water pump though, doing that tomorrow. After that audio stuff is going in for my daily driving pleasure... and i need cup holders. Will post pics when I take them.

LOL, sorry. But i needed a change or something diffrent. I will most likely get another on down the road to work on. If i have my truck for my daily driver, i can buy a camaro and make it for track only,ya. sorry guys. But i have 2 people looking at it this week.

yep just finally got my account approved yesterday. I was referred to 60degreev6.com too but havent signed up there yet.

cool, i don't post there often, but they got hoardes of useful info. some nice looking rides too.

did the water pump, thermostat and tensioner today. didnt refill the coolant tho cuz im debating if i should flush or just say screw it and fill it up.

next up: find oil leak (good chance it's the oil pump drive seal o-ring), change oil (need to replace the drain plug washer/gasket anyway since its dripping), remove retardish sticker from rear window, get a CD player in there (on its way), and get some cup holders in there. Oh and there's so much fucking road grime on the k-member and such it's disgusting. The bottom and sides of the radiator actually have grime caked on that I need to clean off somehow.

3.1 is a pretty damn good/dependable engine. Besides the lower intake manifold issue but that isn't that bad of a job. Very nice. I just bought another beater since my friend refused to sell me back my Achieva :lol: .

Thats ok though, cause my new ride is newer and has a power moonroof, tan leather interior, 6 cd changer in the trunk, keyless entry, every power option and 200+ horse 24 valve dohc V6 and weights around 3300lbs. Not bad for $455.00 (but I have to put 225 into it right off the bat)

As for caked on grime, spray it down with WD40 and let it sit for like 20 minutes and then take a hose to it.

WTF did you get and where

common problem with that oil leak is the dipstick o-ring, check that out while you're at it. and the lower intake gasket failure issue is with the 3100, not the 3.1, so you should be ok on that part.

WTF did you get and whereI will give some hints. It is made by Chevys long standing rival but does not carry there name on it and it is often thought of as a family sedan (but hey, I am just using it as my daily driver)

Yup, made by Ford motor company but is not a Ford. Thats narrows it down to like 5 makes :lol: .
