i have a 1998 z71 p/u with brakes that feel like warped rotors and the ABS actives at slow speeds.
i have changed the rotors and pads,
today I removed both hubs, and both have tight bearings and show minimal wear.
needless to say i have not solved the problem.
why would brakes pulsate and abs freakout if hubs are good and rotors and pads are good?
maybe ill look at the master cylinder next or the proportiioning valve

I've seen folks saying they have their ABS sensors cleaned to solve
that problem.
that problem.

ok, i think ive figures it out:
the ABS problem was the sensors in the hubs, the left front hub sensor was bad but the actual bearings were still good, the hubs had 160k miles on them so i went ahead and replaced the both hubs , because the hub/sensor only comes as a whole unit, i had to buy new hubs. i got them at Advance Auto parts for 160$ each. the ABS problem has gone away, yea me!!
however, the pulsating brakes are still present. since i have changed all of the rotating components in the front, I think the problem is in the drums and pads in the back, that is the next project,
i will foillow up with an update after the drum job
oh ya, i think all of these problem all started after an aggressive offroad adventure in the river. If you go off roading it will cost you money!!
