headlights bulbs for E36

I'm replacing a headlight bulbs on my 93 325is model and am wondering if I can replace all 4 bulbs with #9006 or do I need to do it the original way which is 9005 and 9006 bulbs only?

You will need to get 9006 and 9005. The 9005 has a little tab or groove on it. They are not interchangeable.
