I am having problems with the trip odometer on my 1999 Pontiac Sunfire. It is a digital odometer and when I press the button to switch it to trip odometer mode, it doesn't do anything. Once in awhile it will work and also when it is really cold it will work....but lately it just doesn't switch at all...do you know of a fix for this problem (other than replacing the whole cluster?) Thanks!

I'm in the same boat. The trip function continues to work, it just won't change over the odometer.

Same problem here and the #'s get all screwd up and become unreadable. :banghead: It drives me nuts.

I believe the odometer is made up of led's not a bulb....sorry to say, but it looks like a cluster, especially if the speedometer is working.......all a dealer will do, is try to get the actual mileage from a module, and then order a cluster with that mileage on it....it will be an exchange....

Sorry, read the problem wrong....you are talking about switching, not that the numbers aren't readable......plus didn't look at dates...
