FYI - I had a loud whine in the pump and did every procedure to get air out of it but nothing worked. Seals not leaking and it steered OK, but that whine got on my nerves. A guy said the regulator valve had blown and only way to fix it is new pump. Got a rebuilt one installed whine is gone! I noticed with engine idling, when I looked in the fill neck of the old pump there was no movement of the fluid but the new one has a small whirlpool in it. They don't make new pumps so you have to get rebuilt - $55. after core credit. Labor 1 1/2 hours $105. so total $160. The factory pump was 'prolly built in a sweat shop in Thailand, so can't fault Ford for that.
