timing belt

hi i just joined this site i have a customer who broke his timing belt i'm just wondering if anybody knows if the engine for a 1986 325es model with a 2.7L
is an interference engine or a freewheeling engine??:uhoh:

Ehh, on your own buddy. I thought E30's had timing chains?

the 2.7 has a timing belt!!!
