Well, after driving my bird for a year and tolerating the crappy sound from the speakers, i tore into it and realized the ass who owned it before me did a SHITTY wiring job when he installed the new stereo. Wire splices were crap, they were left uncovered and touching each other giving some really staticy sound. I had just about bought new speakers too, but saved money but cutting all the wires and starting over again, using connectors and caps and doing it the RIGHT way. Damn wannabe electricians who don't know nothing.

my car had the stereo chopped too..
the wires were TAPED together.. and not wrapped with tape eithier..
tape folded over. how fkin LAME.
