New to forum. How do I pick up computer codes from a 93 Isuzu Rodeo. Appreciate any help, thanks.

you need to purchase a code reader or head to an AutoZone where they will read them for free.

you have the OBDI diagnostic system and you can read them yourself just by jumping the diagnostic connector and counting the flashes of your CheckEngineLight (CEL).

[[[ it's the 1996 and later that have the OBDII system that you need a special code reader for and can get some of the bigboxpartsstores to read free for you. they won't read the OBDI system you have ]]]

this gets covered alot on different forums. do a search here and you may get some hits. a recent one on planetizuzoo gives you the info you need: http://forum.planetisuzoo.com/viewtopic.php?t=10679&sid=2a29d0b95392eb48c4a725b7de215a5e
(just scroll down until you get to a question by "crackpot" and the answers from me and bendorfold. you will see that it is very easy and simple to do. once you read and record the codes, you will look in a manual or a site like the following to find out what your codes mean: http://autorepair.about.com/cs/generalinfo/l/bl_dtcs_main.htm

>>>the only thing, i don't know where your diagnostic connnector is, so maybe someone here can clue you in <<< once you find it, it's a piece of cake, and the info is worth the effort.
