Rocker Arm slots

Ive been looking at roller tip rockers. and all the cheaper ones I want have "extra long" slots for high lift cams they say. Can I use these rockers with extra long slots on my build with a very mild cam?

Yes, although you don't want to go putting 'cheap' components in your valvetrain - that is, if you value your engine. If a rocker arm breaks, it'll blast the keepers out of the spring retainers - dropping the valve and destroying that cylinder's piston among other things. Don't settle for less than the COMP Magnum cast chrome-moly roller tip rockers. You do get what you pay for on valvetrain components. The Crane roller-tips might be okay, but IMO they're simply modified stamped rockers and one of the reasons you want a roller rocker is to get away from flex - stamped rockers flex, even if they have a roller tip on them. Again, stick with the aforementioned COMP pieces - they don't flex.

As for the slot, these work fine with stock lifts, but give you the opportunity to run a higher-lift cam at some point in the future.

I guess yuor right silicon. im trying to not cut corners, but I never know if i will. I got lucky and have the oil pan, and valve covers and intake from my block and stuff, lol.

If you're going with centerbolt heads, you need to run a different type of rocker on those. The later heads require self-aligning rocker arms as these don't isolate the pushrod in the heads the way the earlier ones do. This is what you need:

In that case, the ones you linked will work fine.
