well guys I wrecked my 03 Silverado. And I have since bought an 04 nissan titan 4x4. It was hard to let her go but looks like I had no choice. But if you have any questions that I might be able to answer feel free to let me know.:uhoh: :uhoh: :uhoh:

So how do you like the Titan?

Yea, I hate to admit it, but I kinda like the new tundra's. Still, probably wouldn't buy one, sticking to domestic until I have a good reason not too, and it just hasn't happened yet. Buddy of mine has the tundra, and let me tell you, it truely is a beast. But, the good ole time tested GM and Ford (yea, got driven my share of them too) are the ones that I know can stand up to farm life, so I stick with them. There is truely nothing on earth to test a truck like sticking it on a farm for every day use and see what happens. Hopefully, your titan will be a good solid truck and stand the test of time. Let us know how it goes. Just cause you dropped the silvy doesn't mean we won't let you hang out here anymore. Congrats on the new ride.

Well I decided to buy the Titan because I have been looking at them for about a year now and I really liked them. Plus everyone that has had one of the old Nissan trucks has said the last forever so I was going with some reputation on them. And now that I have one of the Titans I love it. It has way more power then any domestic truck I have driven and is way smoother of a ride then any of them too. I bought the 4x4 to use it and when I felt the ride I figured it wouldn't be any good off-road but I have to admit I was wrong. I took it out mudding today just to try it out with my buddy and his lifted ford and you would be amazed at who got stuck. And just a hint it wasn't me. And his ford has a set of 35 BFG's. I do miss my Chevy but I am not at all disappointed I went with the Titan. Any more questions let me know.

I was just evaluating your actual need for a pickup.

Well I live in the country on a farm, I am out in a muddy field at least five days out of a week, I tow a trailer at least two to three times a week, and I like to have a truck. I believe those are pretty good reasons to need a pick-up. If not then I guess I need to be told so and I will go get me a sedan. I have more need for a truck then probably 80% of the people on this forum. So if I need someone to tell me whether I need a truck I will make sure to give you a call and ask.

Do they still only make a four door Titan with the little 5' 5" bed I think it is or do they have a bigger one now. I pull a gooseneck trailer and 6' is the minimum I can use.

No I believe it has a 6' bed on it. I have the king cab version which isn't the four full size doors and it has a little bit of a bigger bed then my old silvy did. I hven't put a gooseneck in it thats what we use the diesel for. But towing a hitch trailer the Titan has pulled one better than a lot of chevy's I have driven except maybe the Duramax. Its a good truck and I love having the 5.6 V8 in it. It has tons of bottom-end torque.

Thanks LilRedBoTie...I'm going to go to a dealer today and check one out...it will be awhile before I can get another truck and the only one other then a Chevy that I would consider is a Titan but I like to plan ahead.

Well Sonny01 tell me how you like the Titan. I want to know if I am the only one that likes them. And BlenderWizard This post might be in the wrong spot but it seems like the only one that its bugging is you. And I do not believe that anyone is forcing you to look at it so if you dont like it stay out of it.

ooooOOOOOOOoooo....:grinno:
I see what he did! He "wrecked" his silvy to get a tundra!! MUTINY!!:nono:
Just kidding. If when I need a new truck, I am going to look at ALL makes even imported. I had no idea GM made normal ticking motors. And I just spent $200 on a new front bearing and I have less than 60K miles (Yadda yadda yadda). ANyway, I respect your decision totally.
And I say he can hang out here because he has experience by actually owning a Silvy. His experience could prove beneficial to someone.
PS Was it your fault (the accident) and tell me how it happened (weather, traffic, etc etc). Glad you are ok.

Ya I wrecked it.and ya it was my fault. It wsa nice and wet outside and I tried to get on the gas and the rear end slid out doing about 45 and hit another car then turned my truck around and got nailed in the front end. It sucked. And I totally respect him in the Silverado forum But if he doesn't like my posts and all then he just needs to stay out and stop being an ass for no reason. Bu ya I never had really good reliabilty with my silverado either plus the service guys are all jerks.

Your a monkey!
There a lot of people on here that do not "currently" Silvy's, but use to. That is all that matters.
About the Titan.. There are few in my subdivision that own Titians.. They seem nice and have things in them I wish Gm would put in there trucks, and maybe in the 07 models they do, but at either rate I like GM's style the best and will continue to do so until.. well, I decide not too, until GM Rules! :D

Monkey?!?! Man... You should look into getting the bottom tone painted on your tailgate... check out what it did for mine.
What is that in your avatar? Looks *kinda* like a GTO.

Your tailgate does look nice. I may do that when I get the truck repainted.
The avatar is a 2004 Concept GTO with 550hp. They never put it into production. I wish they had.
