Hello Guys I Just Picked Up A Amt 1969 Chevelle Ss Which Is Going To Be A Pro Street Show Car.

And I Am Wanting To Do A Twin turbo Supercharged 454

I Know Where To Get The Supercharger And Turbos As Far As Tubing I Was Thinking Solid Core Solder.

Also Doors Will Be Hinged And Trunk And Hood.

Any Thoughts Or Imput Before I Tear Into This Thing

the LS1 isn't a 454. it's a 350 small-block.

When I added a twin turbo setup to my 69 Camaro (check my sig), I modeled it after the Banks system, which you can see here. (http://www.bankspower.com/twin-turbo-engine.cfm) Their website certainly shows a lot of the engines and their components, so it's perfect for making reference.

And while a 454 is a bigblock, not an LS1, it's still not necessary to Capitalize Every Word In Your Post.

Capitalisation is just a filter that prevents posts IN ALL CAPS.

No offense, but that is hideous. It doesn't even look like it would be fun to drive unless you start off in 3rd gear!!! I love big engines, don't get me wrong, but a 454 alone in that car is enough. Twin turbos on that and I'll bet he is easily pushing 1100 HP!!! That would be insane to drive unless he runs drags only with full comp slicks on it?! From the pic though, it looks like street rims with low profile tires. ??? :shakehead

More info please.

(not bashing by the way, just saying my :2cents: )

well the car is a holden torana its at 1600 hp he drives around town does a good job i rode in it once nearly shit my pants lol fastest thing ive ever been in. the tires in the pics are not the tires are not the ones currrently on it.

one qustion he asked if i would drag his s-10 next week in the amateur drags should i im currently racin my dads 454ss thats at 600 hp but its dead in the water. anyway the s-10 has 875 will it be a big difference in handling and such. im 17 i dont wanna jump into to much power to fast ive only been running my dads truck for a year at a local airport.

well my plans for the model is a pro street that is show worthy i was thinking a metalic blue and silver two tone not your on the pinstripe to separate the colors. will have a full interior other than racing buckets.all piping will be aluminum for the turbos exhaust headers etc car will be fully
wired.car will not be painted it will all be a low temp powder coat.

thats what i have in my head right now is there any tips suggestions or grievences?

any tips for making this show worthy

Sounds like you have a good plan.
Using two kits makes it easer to keep the opening panel gaps small. You just cut the panels from one and cut the openings in the other.
Getting a kit with a Pro-stock or Pro-street chassis would make your build more realistic and simpler as well.

i got a gift today in the mail from brother it includes a 572 kit with billet valve covers intake and turbos and some aluminum tubing.

one question is it necessary to run an intercooler.

also im just going to run a scale 12 inch drag radial in the rear. it will wit with the resin chassis

A cooler takes the plumbing up a notch. Your Ref pix doesn't have one, so I'm going to guess that it runs on alcohol not gas.

Check what i've built. V8 TT Supercharged Ford Escort.

I used that Torana as inspiration.
